News from Chip
Martin Productions
Welcome to the news page.....
I have been working with several promising artists
lately, and if all goes according to plan they will
get their shot at a major recording deal...stay
tuned for that, as I'll keep you posted!
VanZant working with Chip Martin to pitch
new artist Matt Bailie:
Johnny (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Donnie VanZant (.38
Special) were in town in May to pitch their
discovery, Matt Bailie, to Nashville record
companies. Matt grew up knowing the VanZant family,
and when he took to singing country music the
VanZant brothers mentored and cultivated Matt's
talents, eventually guiding him to move to Nashville
where he started working with producer Chip Martin.
(CMP studio) After a year of song searching, studio
work and writing, Matt was ready to put himself in
front of Nashville Music executives, with the
VanZant boys running point for him. The process is
ongoing, and any big news will be put on the wire.

I just finished working on
Janelaine's new CD- it is
a mix of new-age stylings and power-pop
instrumentals featuring her unique piano
virtuoso...truly a tour de force of sound!
Also, "Chief
Greenbud" just finished a CD done here at Chip
Martin Studio...this stuff is
Cheech and Chong meets
Jimmy Buffet and is hilarious! Completely
irreverent but tastefully incisive drug-culture
parody- you'll swear you were gettin' a contact buzz
by just listening!
I'm performing around Nashville with an amazing
vocalist named Ron Wallace...the band is called
"Tuff Town" and if you live in the area you need to
come see this guy- his voice has graced the demo
recordings that have gone on to be recorded by some
of Nashville's hottest singers and #1 artists. The
thing is, Ron's versions are better! Our next gig is
Douglas Corner April 11th at 7pm.
My wife Loretta, the song plugger, is now working
the
Clay Walker catalog as of January '08...she's
really excited to have some top-notch material to
pitch to music row along with the already impressive
catalog of
Bill Riddle Music and
VB Three Music.
More to come!
